A normal takeaway lunch turned into a nightmare after a woman in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong, reportedly discovered a tiny, hairless creature moving inside her satay beef noodle meal. According to reports, she initially thought the object was part of the food before realizing it was alive. A video appearing to show a small pink, newborn rat-like animal quickly spread online, shocking viewers. Hong Kong food safety authorities reportedly seized the meal and launched an investigation into the restaurant’s preparation, storage, packaging and delivery practices. Officials reportedly found unsatisfactory hygiene conditions but said it was too early to determine how the animal entered the food.
