Walmart conf!rms it has recovered CREDIT CARD purchase data for the Ozark Trail Hiker Pack

Authorities in Arizona have confirmed a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie. According to officials, investigators have successfully obtained verified retail transaction records tied to the purchase of an Ozark Trail Hiker Pack believed to be relevant to the case. Contrary to earlier assumptions that the item had been purchased using cash, newly recovered data indicates that the backpack was bought using a credit card, providing a crucial new lead.

Law enforcement sources state that Walmart was able to retrieve archived payment information, revealing that the transaction took place during a timeframe already considered critical to the investigation. Previously reviewed surveillance footage had captured an individual purchasing a black 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack, but poor image quality made it difficult to identify the buyer. The addition of cardholder information now allows investigators to narrow their focus considerably.

Authorities confirmed that the credit card is registered to a young adult male. However, officials have not released his identity, citing ongoing investigative procedures and the need to protect the integrity of the case. Detectives are working to determine whether the cardholder made the purchase personally or if the card may have been used by someone else without authorization.

Investigators are also reviewing related financial activity, including transaction histories and location data, while coordinating with financial institutions to verify how the payment was processed. Officials stress that no arrest has been made and that further corroborating evidence is required as the investigation continues.
