A devastating train collision near Adamuz, in southern Spain, has killed at least 39 people and injured dozens more, making it the country’s deadliest rail disaster in over a decade. The crash occurred when a Madrid-bound high-speed train derailed and crossed onto opposite tracks, colliding with an oncoming train. Around 400 passengers and staff were onboard both trains. Rescue teams worked through twisted wreckage to reach trapped survivors, while hospitals treated more than 100 injured people. Authorities have launched an investigation, though the cause remains unknown. Rail services between Madrid and Andalusia were suspended following the tragedy.
