Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event. It is natural to feel afraid during and after a traumatic situation.

Scott Erick served 16 years in the army and returned without a scratch. However, Erick suffered from mental injuries. He endured some disturbing brain injuries from many explosions and numerous concussions.

In the end, he went home but due to PTSD, he was practically crippled. He was struggling with taking medication and living after the war and one day the amazing organization K9s for Warriors stepped in to help Scott. They offered him an incredible service dog called Gumbo.

Gumbo learned everything that causes PTSD in Scott. His reaction when his owner becomes upset is just priceless. Scott knows trust and relies on Gumbo to do anything, what a beautiful friendship they have.
