When a deaf Pit Bull named Stinger arrived at a shelter, his condition looked hopeless. His body was covered in painful blisters, and staff believed euthanasia was the only option, since they lacked resources for such a severe case.
Then came Carri Shipaila, founder of LuvnPupz Rescue in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After hearing about Stinger, she drove nearly an hour to save him. His original owners chose not to reclaim him, but Carri refused to give up.
Stinger received urgent treatment for his blisters, skin infection, and mange. Soon after, he was diagnosed with Pemphigus, an autoimmune disorder requiring lifelong care. Because of this, he won’t be adopted, but instead remains with a loving foster family under LuvnPupz’s support.
Today, Stinger’s transformation is inspiring. His wounds have healed, his coat shines, and his spirit thrives. Once unwanted, he now lives each day surrounded by love, proving resilience can shine through pain.
