Roommate Stories That Could Be Turned Into Hollywood Movies

Some people are lucky to have roommates that are easygoing and fun. But not everyone is that lucky. In today’s collection, people share their worst experiences with roommates—some are so extreme that they feel like they’re from a Hollywood movie.

The Story:

My roommate, who I lived with for 2 years, suddenly disappeared. She was a happy, cheerful girl. The police searched for her, but even her parents lost hope. Five years later, I was cleaning her room to sell the house. When I moved the dresser, I found a hidden hole in the wall. I put my hand inside and, to my horror, I found a bunch of notes that said, “If I ever disappear, you need to urgently look for me at Jake’s cabin in the mountains.”

Jake was her boyfriend. He had a bad temper, but she stayed with him because she loved him a lot. I remembered her talking about how controlling and unpredictable he was, but I didn’t think much of it at the time. We told the police, but it was too late to find Jake. The last anyone knew, he had moved to Europe, and too much time had passed since she went missing. To this day, I still think about that letter.
