Sending a dog to daycare for the first time is never easy. Just ask Bauer’s parents, Emma and Corey Moriarty from Florida. When their energetic Golden Retriever pup headed off for his first day, they weren’t sure how he’d react—or how much he’d miss them.

At pickup time, Corey waited eagerly outside the daycare, camera in hand. The moment Bauer spotted his dad, he sprinted forward, tail wagging wildly, leash in mouth, and leaped into Corey’s arms for the biggest, most emotional hug. It was pure love—and Corey’s video quickly went viral on TikTok.

“The way he carries his leash like ‘I’m ready, let’s go home!’” the caption read, melting thousands of hearts.

Though Bauer clearly missed his dad, his daycare visit was a hit. Caregivers shared that he had the best time, making friends and stealing the spotlight with his lovable energy.

As the newest member of a pack that includes two Huskies, a Golden Retriever, and even two cats, Bauer has no shortage of adventure. He’s goofy, affectionate, and full of life—a true star in the Moriarty household.
