Mother of teen killed in wrong-way crash says she begged judge to jail him weeks before his death

A grieving mother has revealed that she begged a judge to jail her teenage son weeks before a devastating crash claimed five young lives in Ireland. Kamil Pustkowski, 17, Jack Kennedy, 17, Jeremy O’Brien, 18, Joe Carthy, 15, and Alex McCarthy, 16, died after their vehicle reportedly traveled the wrong way on the M9 motorway in County Kildare and collided with another car. Kamil’s mother said she had repeatedly attended court over his driving offenses and feared his behavior was escalating. She described him as “lost” and said stronger intervention might have prevented the tragedy. The crash also seriously injured members of another family.
