A Mother Dog’s Plea: Shelter Shares Heartbreaking Moment
A viral video from the Kluang Johor Stray Dog Home has stirred hearts worldwide. It shows a man abandoning a mother dog and her five newborn puppies at the shelter. As he prepares to leave, the desperate mother clings to his legs, silently begging him not to go. He shakes her off and drives away.
The shelter quickly took in the family. The mother was later diagnosed with pyometra—a life-threatening infection—requiring surgery after her puppies are weaned. Sadly, two puppies have since passed away.
Already caring for over a thousand animals, the shelter is struggling financially, worsened by the pandemic. They launched a heartfelt online campaign, urging the public to donate and help cover medical and daily care costs.
