Courtroom Filled with Blue as Cop-Shooting Suspects Face Justice
When two men accused of shooting an Atlantic City police officer walked into court, they were met with a powerful sight: a room packed wall-to-wall with uniformed officers, there to honor one of their own.
Demitrius Cross and Martel Chisolm were charged after a botched robbery outside Caesars casino led to a shootout that left 29-year-old Officer Josh Vadell critically wounded and one suspect dead.
Though Officer Vadell was initially placed on a ventilator, his wife shared an emotional Facebook update: “He is doing amazing!!! He’s off the ventilator, talking, and showing movement. Your support is healing him.”
The courtroom show of unity struck a nerve online, with thousands applauding the silent show of strength.
“These two are a menace to society,” one commenter said. “They should never walk free again.”
