Kevin Costner may be used to the spotlight thanks to iconic roles in Field of Dreams, Dances With Wolves, and more recently, Yellowstone, but lately, he’s been sharing some of that attention — with his dog. His Labrador Retriever, Bobby, might be all grown up, but every time Costner posts a new photo or video of him, fans can’t help but fall in love all over again.

Take, for instance, the video Costner shared on Instagram on Friday, August 1. Bobby is simply enjoying nature — running through streams, fetching sticks, exploring, and getting his paws delightfully muddy. It’s pure dog joy, and completely irresistible.

“I think Bobby loves my favorite place even more than I do,” Costner captioned the post.

And fans were quick to agree — it’s Bobby they’re obsessed with.

“Your dog is very beautiful indeed,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “What a great life Bobby has.” And they’re not wrong.

Costner adopted Bobby last year, and the two have been inseparable ever since. According to the actor, they even share some surprising similarities.

“Bob just gets in the car. He doesn’t care where we go,” Costner shared. “Bob’s lazy — all he does is sleep. He just goes ‘woof’ at the door a few times. But if I put Bobby in the field, you see his IQ go up 30 points. He looks like the Adonis of dogs. He just knows exactly who he is.”

Clearly, so do his fans.
