John Travolta Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Kirstie Alley and Their Unique Bond

Kirstie Alley, known for Cheers and Look Who’s Talking, passed away in 2022 at age 71 after a brief battle with cancer. Over her decades-long career, she starred in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, earned an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her role as Rebecca Howe in Cheers, and appeared in numerous TV shows and films. Offscreen, Alley shared her struggles with weight through a book and reality show, later losing 100 pounds during her time on Dancing With the Stars.

She had two adopted children, True and Lillie, with ex-husband Parker Stevenson. After her death, her children praised her strength, joy for life, and love for family. John Travolta, her Look Who’s Talking co-star and longtime friend, honored her on Instagram, calling her “one of the most special relationships” of his life.

Alley once admitted she had deep feelings for Travolta, saying if she hadn’t been married, she might’ve married him—joking that his private jet would’ve sealed the deal. Though they never became a couple, their friendship endured, proving some bonds truly stand the test of time.
