Iran Hits U.S. Host Sites in the Gulf; Defenses and Hormuz Stay on Alert

Iran has launched missiles and drones toward Gulf countries hosting U.S. forces, including Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE. Tehran says it is targeting American military facilities, while Gulf governments report intercepting weapons and dealing with debris, sirens, and airspace closures. U.S. bases at Al Dhafra, Al Udeid, Kuwait facilities, and Bahrain’s Fifth Fleet headquarters remain exposed. The attacks have raised concerns about civilian safety and critical infrastructure, making Gulf cities increasingly vulnerable to spillover from the wider conflict.
