Hannity Says He Left Catholic Church Over Corruption Concerns

Fox News host Sean Hannity announced he no longer considers himself Catholic, saying he left the church years ago because of what he described as institutional corruption from the parish level to the Vatican. Although critical of church leadership, Hannity said his Catholic upbringing positively shaped his values and faith. He now identifies simply as a Christian. His remarks came amid public tensions between President Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV over foreign policy and religious issues. Hannity also suggested the church has drifted from biblical teachings, emphasizing that despite leaving Catholicism, faith remains a central part of his life and worldview.
