Two tiny puppies were found abandoned at a local temple, left to fend for themselves. The smaller of the two, a fragile black puppy, clung to life while its sibling, a white-haired female, lay protectively on top, offering comfort in a world that had already turned cold and cruel.
Despite urgent efforts, the black puppy didn’t survive. Rescuers made the heartbreaking decision to ease its suffering. The remaining pup, later named Willow, began treatment for multiple health issues, including severe skin infections. At just three months old, she weighed only 1.4 kg and stood about as tall as a wine bottle.

A week into her recovery, Willow suddenly lost sensation in her front legs. A seizure left her trembling and barely conscious. The woman who rescued her rushed her to the nearest vet. “Her pulse was weak, her limbs cold. It was devastating to see,” she recalled.

Euthanasia was considered, but a last-minute decision to try one more treatment changed everything. Willow responded to anti-seizure medication and woke the next day with an appetite and newfound strength.
Now, two and a half weeks later, Willow is healing. With her infections clearing and her spirit brightening, she’s almost ready to find a forever home.
