With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Elliot, our oldest and most remarkable resident. Elliot came to the shelter 10 years ago, a victim of severe neglect and abuse. He bore the scars of betrayal and mistrust, but slowly, with gentle hands and patient hearts, he began to rediscover the warmth of kindness.
Though wary by nature, Elliot allowed a few trusted volunteers into his guarded world, gifting them with the rare treasure of his love. He tried to find a home several times, but the fear of losing his safe haven would always bring him back. The shelter became his sanctuary, and we, his chosen family.
Elliot would have turned 16 on October 30th. Brave, proud, and deeply loved, he passed away surrounded by those who stood by him until the end.
Rest peacefully, sweet Elliot. Your pawprints will forever remain on our hearts. You will never be forgotten. 🕊🖤
