Dan Bongino, a prominent conservative radio host, shared an emotional message with his listeners on Monday, announcing that he will no longer comment on politics. Bongino has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the FBI under the new Director, Kash Patel. A former Secret Service agent and strong supporter of Trump, Bongino expressed his dedication to his new role at the FBI.
Bongino explained that his transition from political commentator to FBI deputy director would require different skills and a shift in focus. Although he will be leaving his radio and podcast roles, Bongino assured his fans that his wife and daughters, who have been involved in managing his brand, would continue producing content.
Vince Coglianese, the editorial director of The Daily Caller, will take over Bongino’s nationally syndicated radio show and podcast. Coglianese, who has previously guest-hosted for Bongino, will now be the permanent host, with the shows being renamed “VINCE” and “VINCE Podcast.”
Bongino emphasized the honor of his new role and his commitment to serving the American people, adding that he planned to implement a serious vision at the FBI. His final show will air on March 14, with Coglianese taking over on March 17.
