Miraculously, their 9-year-old son, Branson Baker, emerged from the wreckage unharmed.
But Branson didn’t wait for help. With no adults around, no phone, and storm debris everywhere, he took off on foot—running more than a mile through downed power lines, wreckage, and chaos to find help. He reached a neighbor and urged them to come back with him. Together, they returned to the crash site.
