Anxious Pup Who Was Sent To Shelter Just Wants To Find A Home Where He Is Loved And Appreciated

Just like all dogs, a Maltese, later named Gandalf, wanted to have a home and a great family who would pamper him with care and love him endlessly.

Sadly, his life was a far cry from the ideal home he dreamed of.

The pup lived with a careless breeder who didn’t show him love. As a result, Gandalf started losing hope that he would ever live a happy life.

One day, his owner decided to surrender him to Pawportunities, a shelter in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Unfortunately, on the day when he was supposed to give Gandalf up to the shelter, the breeder accidentally injured the pup while he was shaving his fur.

Gandalf Is Terrified

When the shelter staff arrived to pick up Gandalf and realized that he had an injury on his abdomen, they felt heartbroken. They rushed him to the shelter and urgently called the vet.

The frightened pup endured pain, and the staff comforted him. They hoped that Gandalf would be alright.

When they arrived at the shelter, the vet had already been there waiting for them. He cleaned Gandalf’s wound and sutured it.

Luckily, the pup didn’t develop an infection, and he was expected to make a full recovery.

After he felt better, Gandalf was taken to his shelter kennel. Understandably, the pup was very anxious, and he retreated to the corner and started trembling.

The staff members couldn’t bear watching Gandalf in that state. He was quiet and didn’t bark like the rest of the shelter dogs who looked for attention.

All that he wanted was to hide from everyone.

In Desperate Search Of A Home

Although the staff shows him love and cares for him, it’s still not enough to mend Gandalf’s broken heart.

He needs a patient and loving family who will take him home, help him gain confidence, and restore his faith in humans.

The shelter is far from being the ideal place for recovery, and the constant noise makes Gandalf even more afraid.

Since he feels anxious and can’t stop shaking, it’s not likely that he will attract potential visitors.

His caregivers believe that Gandalf would thrive in a loving home where he could relax and sleep far away from the loud barking.

After everything Gandalf experienced, he deserves to find someone who will show him that he is worthy of infinite love.

If you would love to open your home to Gandalf, please reach out to Pawportunities for further details.

I hope that the pup will soon leave the Missouri shelter and move to a home where he can flourish into the dog he was always supposed to become.
