In Chiang Mai, Thailand, a small veterinary clinic was left speechless after discovering an injured stray dog at their doorstep one morning — just in time to save its life. 

After treating the pup, staff reviewed security footage to uncover how it had gotten there — and what they saw stunned everyone. A chimpanzee had gently carried the wounded dog, placed it at the clinic’s entrance, and then disappeared into the street.

Local CCTV later confirmed the incredible act: the chimp had found the injured dog, navigated busy roads, and brought it straight to the vet for help.

Experts say chimpanzees are remarkably perceptive and likely this one had seen animals being brought to the clinic before — and realized it was the place to seek help.

A breathtaking reminder that compassion isn’t just human.
