In court, evidence revealed Elijah himself had been abused as a child with wire restraints, explaining his recognition of her injuries. The judge dismissed burglary charges, ordered an investigation into the owner, and placed the dog with Elijah. Today they live together in stability, healing each other. He calls her Wire, not Bella, because they both survived the same kind of restraint and chose freedom together. Their story became proof that rescue can go both ways in unexpected forms sometimes.
