Margaret has spent twenty years grieving after her seven-year-old son, Daniel, disappeared from a rest stop on Route 9 in 2006. Forced to return to the road, she meets an old man who mysteriously gives her a Polaroid leading to the truth. She discovers Daniel was raised under a different name by a man who found him and never returned him. Reunited as adults, Daniel slowly recalls his childhood after seeing a bottle of Sprite, triggering forgotten memories. Though they cannot recover the lost years, mother and son finally reunite, beginning the difficult journey of rebuilding their family together.
