Some rescues break your heart before they heal it. Today was one of those days.
For days, we had been trying to help a paralyzed dog at the Dorohoi public shelter. Her condition was urgent, but overcrowding delayed everything. When we finally arrived to bring her to the clinic, our hearts shattered — her paralyzed paw had been mutilated. 💔
Paralyzed dogs don’t feel pain; they lick their wounds compulsively, unaware they’re hurting themselves. The cold, noise, and fear of shelter life only make things worse. Yet when we reached her, she looked up — tired, but hopeful. That was enough.
We rushed her to the clinic. Surgery was difficult but successful. Now she’s safe, warm, and receiving the care she desperately needed.
Thanks to your compassion and generosity, her treatment is fully covered. She’s resting peacefully tonight — no longer forgotten, no longer afraid — finally surrounded by love and hope. ❤️🩹
