Teddy has always been the sunshine in our lives—the kind of dog who doesn’t just enter a room, he brightens it. His goofy grin, wagging tail, and over-the-top joy for even the smallest things have always been his charm.
But recently, something changed.

It began quietly. More naps, fewer zoomies, less excitement at the door. His tail wag, once full of life, slowed to a gentle sway. The moment that broke my heart was when I offered him his favorite toy… and he didn’t care.
The vet confirmed his body was healthy. Instead, the concern was emotional—dogs, like people, can feel sadness, anxiety, and depression. Looking back, the pieces fit: schedule changes, a long-term houseguest, time away with a sitter. Teddy had lost his rhythm—and in some ways, he missed me.

So now we’re focused on healing. Not with just treats or belly rubs, but with presence, patience, and love. Roo, his best buddy, has been helping too, gently coaxing him back into play.

And slowly, Teddy is returning—tail wags, soft woofs, playful chases. He’s not broken. He just needed time, care, and love. And together, we’ll get him back to full sunshine.
