Fans of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne have expressed fury after drone images of the late singer’s grave were published online, just weeks after his death.
The Black Sabbath frontman passed away last month at age 76, following a farewell performance in Birmingham. He was laid to rest on the grounds of his 350-acre Buckinghamshire estate, in accordance with his wish to be buried “in a nice garden somewhere, with a tree planted over my head.”
However, U.S. outlet TMZ released aerial photos of the private burial site, showing purple floral tributes, a young tree, and a view overlooking the Osbourne family’s lake. The photos, reportedly taken by drone, sparked backlash from fans and privacy advocates alike.
“Absolutely disgusting,” one fan wrote. “Let the man rest in peace.”
Others labeled the release an “invasion of privacy,” slamming TMZ for repeating similar actions following other celebrity deaths.
Ozzy’s official cause of death, released this week, listed acute myocardial infarction and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, with underlying coronary heart disease and Parkinson’s disease.
His son Jack Osbourne broke his silence, writing: “My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude.”
The Osbourne family has not yet publicly responded to the leaked images.
