Five-year-old Noah Woods is being hailed a hero after saving his entire family from a house fire. Early Sunday morning, Noah woke up to flames beside his bed in the room he shared with his two-year-old sister, Lily. Acting quickly, he grabbed Lily and their dog, escaped through the window, and then ran back to wake his uncle so the rest of the family could get out safely.
Thanks to Noah’s courage, all nine family members escaped with only minor injuries. Noah suffered a small burn on his wrist but is otherwise fine. The Bartow County Fire Department praised him as a true hero, naming him an Honorary Firefighter and presenting him with a Lifesaving Award.
Although the family’s home was destroyed, they are deeply grateful to be alive. “If it wasn’t for Noah, we may not be here today,” said his grandfather.
Noah, you are a true hero.
