A statewide manhunt has expanded beyond Tennessee after a 28-year-old inmate serving a life sentence escaped from prison, allegedly stole a pickup truck and disappeared before authorities could locate him. The stolen vehicle has now been discovered abandoned in southern Illinois, but investigators say the man himself remains missing.
Jacob Allen Morley escaped from the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee, on October 25, 2026. Security footage reviewed by authorities showed him breaching the prison’s perimeter fence and leaving the facility while still wearing his prison uniform.
