With heavy hearts, we share that sweet Buster has crossed the rainbow bridge.
Despite receiving the best care and unwavering love, Buster’s condition worsened. His medical team believed a brain tumor was the root cause of his increasing seizures. These episodes became longer, more intense, and harder to manage. He could no longer lift his head, hold up his body, or swallow food. After thoughtful consultations with multiple veterinarians, it became clear that the most compassionate choice was to let him go peacefully.
From the moment he arrived, our volunteers were by his side—through every moment of hope, every setback, and, finally, through his gentle passing. Buster did not leave this world unloved or unseen. He left knowing that not all humans are the same… and that his life truly mattered.
We all fought so hard to give him the second chance he deserved. After enduring years of neglect alone in a yard in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, Buster finally experienced what every soul should: warmth, comfort, and unconditional love.
His time with us was far too short—but it was filled with everything he had been denied.
