An attempted robbery outside Caesars in Atlantic City turned deadly when suspects allegedly opened fire as police responded. Officer Jostle Vadell, 29, was seriously wounded and placed on a ventilator, while one suspect, Jerome Damon, 25, was killed during the police response. Two other suspects, Demetrius Cross and Martel Chisolm, were arrested and charged with attempted robbery and attempted murder. Officers later attended their court appearance to support Vadell and his family. Thankfully, Vadell’s condition improved, and his wife reported that he was breathing without a ventilator, speaking a few words, and regaining movement. His recovery brought hope to his family, colleagues, and supporters.
