This move comes as outgoing CEO Tom Kingsbury prepares to step down, with Ashley Buchanan, currently CEO of Michaels, set to take over. Kingsbury will stay on as an advisor until May to ensure a smooth transition. Kohl’s has faced challenges in recent years due to changing shopping habits and growing competition from e-commerce. The company also reported a nearly 40% drop in its stock over the past six months.
