A devastating tragedy in Billings, Montana, has left a family and community mourning after eight relatives were killed in a shooting and house fire.
Adam Ghekiere, a father and rescue firefighter, was working at an airshow when he heard reports of an emergency near his in-laws’ home. He tried calling his family but received no answer. His children, 12-year-old Charlotte and 15-year-old Landon, were among those killed, alongside their mother, siblings, and other relatives.
Loved ones remembered Landon as caring and protective, while Charlotte was known for her humor and bright personality. As investigators search for answers, the family is focused on honoring the eight lives lost.
