Clydesdale Horse Shares Sweet Moment with Labrador Retriever in Budweiser’s 2024 Super Bowl Ad

Budweiser’s legendary Clydesdale horses are making a triumphant return for the big game, starring in the beer brand’s new Super Bowl spot, “Old-School Delivery.” The commercial is set to air during Super Bowl LVIII on February 11 and leans heavily into nostalgia, grit, and tradition—hallmarks of Budweiser.

The ad opens with a sweeping aerial view of a small town paralyzed by a brutal snowstorm. Power is out, roads are closed, and the local bar is running dangerously low on Budweiser. Just when it seems all hope is lost, the iconic Clydesdales step in, silently rallying their caretakers to deliver beer the old-fashioned way.

Two Budweiser workers—one played by real-life wholesaler Fred Dana—load kegs onto a horse-drawn wagon as the Clydesdales push through deep snow. Along the way, a loyal Labrador retriever joins the mission, ultimately guiding the cart to the bar and its relieved patrons. The spot ends on a warm note, with one of the towering horses sharing a gentle nuzzle with the helpful dog.

According to Anheuser-Busch, this marks the Clydesdales’ 46th Super Bowl appearance. The commercial airs during the championship matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, broadcast on CBS at 6:30 p.m. ET—proving once again that tradition still delivers.
