😦 Max’s behavior had started to worry us, but we didn’t understand the real reason—until we checked the surveillance cameras.

Max had always been a loving and loyal dog, especially toward our daughter, Lina. Since her birth, he’d been incredibly attentive. Anytime she cried, Max would rush to her side—even before we could.

But recently, something had changed. Every time Lina fell asleep, Max would start barking uncontrollably, waking her up. When I entered the room, he would growl, even at me. His behavior was no longer recognizable. I began to fear he was becoming jealous or unstable.

After long discussions, my husband and I made the heartbreaking decision to rehome him, prioritizing Lina’s safety. But before moving forward, we decided to install cameras around the house to better understand Max’s behavior.

That same night, while reviewing the footage, my husband called out, “Come look at this—now!”

What we saw left us shocked.

Every time Lina slept, a man could be seen lurking outside, trying doors and windows. Max wasn’t being aggressive—he was protecting her.

The next day, we called the police. They confirmed recent burglary attempts in our area.

Max hadn’t changed. He was a hero all along. 🐾
