Recently sold at auction in Florida for $260,000 to an anonymous phone bidder claiming to be an Elvis enthusiast, the plane is a time capsule of Presley’s flair. The sale took place at the Mecum Kissimmee Collector Vehicle Auction on January 8.
The jet, which Elvis once flew in alongside his father, Vernon Presley, had been grounded in Roswell, New Mexico for decades, serving as a roadside tourist attraction. But despite sitting unused since Elvis’s death in 1977, the aircraft has aged surprisingly well.
Step inside, and it’s clear the interior was designed with Presley’s signature touch. Plush crimson velvet seats, wood-paneled walls, and a vintage TV set create a retro-luxury vibe.
