Rumors that President Donald Trump had been rushed to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center spread rapidly across social media after the White House unexpectedly canceled his remaining public events on April 4. The speculation intensified because of his unusual absence from public view, but the White House firmly denied that he had been hospitalized, stating he was working from the White House and carrying out his official duties as normal. Officials also reiterated that Trump’s previously disclosed chronic venous insufficiency is being managed and does not affect his ability to serve. No credible evidence has emerged to support claims that he was admitted to Walter Reed.
